The women’s section are getting excited for a busy season ahead. The club are fielding five women’s teams with players spanning six decades, as our five squads are represented by all ages, including juniors and masters players. We are still recruiting new players to the women’s teams, particularly the 1s and 2s so please spread the word.
The women’s 1s, captained by Alice Toynton and coached by Tony Smith, will be playing in South Central Premier Division 2.
The 2s are captained by Heidi Wells and coached by Tony Richards and will be playing in South Central Division 1 South.
The women’s 1s and 2s will be training at The Edge on a Wednesday from 7.30 to 9pm.
The women’s 3s and 4s will be training together at Highfield this season on a Wednesday at 8pm, Jacob Hall is coaching these two teams.
The 3s will be playing in South Central Women’s Division 3 South and are being co-captained by Heather Jakeway and Nina Moore
The 4s will be playing in Division 1 Solent, and are being captained by Megan Ashworth.
The 5s will be training alongside the Back to Hockey squad on a Tuesday at Highfield from 8 to 9.30pm, with Bobby Grech coaching both squads. The 5s play in South Central Women’s Division 2 Solent.
