Phil (the one in the middle!) has played hockey since childhood and has been a member of Haslemere for over 10 years. He plays for the men’s 4s either in midfield or occasionally in goal and is one of our youth coaches.
Previously Director of Hockey, he became Chairman at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Andrew’s introduction to the club was through his daughters in 2017 – both Junior Goalkeepers. It reignited his love for Hockey – having played Hockey to 1st XI level at school but specialising in rugby at University. Andrew took up his position on the board at the start of the 2018/19 season.
Andrew has a passion for developing our junior section and driving us to be more competitive whilst offering a fun playing environment. He is an aspiring coach and will be assisting the U12 Girls coaching. Andrew is particularly interested in defence, Goalkeeping and set piece work.
Tiff’s introduction to the Club in 2017 was through her daughters’ love for hockey. Not being a player herself (she grew up playing the ‘other’ game where the ball is thrown and caught in a net!) she decided the best way to be able to support the Club was behind the scenes on the organisation side, particularly helping out with junior membership and encouraging ‘hockey for all’; believing passionately that club sport plays a hugely important part in children’s physical and mental wellbeing. Tiff can often be found pitch side cheering on her girls’ teams.
Andrew (Yes another one!!) is new to the role this year. For the last 4 years he has been coaching U10’s/U8’s/Ladies 4’s & 5’s
He has set himself the objectives of enhancing and improving club communications starting with the website, moving onto emails etc. His words “I want to ensure that we are all kept up to date with the goings on in the world of our hockey club.”
Allan joined the club in 2010 through ‘Dads back to hockey’, he had watched his son develop and enjoy the fantastic junior facilities.
Allan is Director of Playing Arrangements, (Allan is the man to contact if you need pitch space! ) he volunteered in 2016 his motivation, was to give something back, having benefited from the hard work of all the other club volunteers.
