These are the boys who have moved up from the U10 mixed squad

vs City of Portsmouth - 05 Oct 2014

Home Score: 4 - Opposition Score: 1

Match Result: Win

Fun in the sun from the talented under 12 squad for in spite of a  much changed team from last week Haslemere were far too strong for Portsmouth boys. We started with Harvey Hill playing a new roll at sweeper , while in front Will Porter Ed Cohn and Henry Rigden worked the midfield in a tight threesome. At the back the ever improving Luca Pallano John Canning and Llewellyn Johnson looked  a pretty serious back three supporting our very own Lucas Francis between the sticks. Haslemere started very strongly , delighting the crowd with some imaginative skilled movement . Louis Whittle Wright was a constant thorn in the away defences side ,while up front Max Monday and Toby Slump ran strongly at the back 4. It was no surprise when Louis rapped up a great personal run with a fine finish and Haslemere were deservedly ahead.  After 20 minutes the coach changes the team around bringing on Jack Wright Tom Burke Harry Allen  Toby Slump and Will Owen and while we were regrouping Portsmouth grabbed a slightly flattering equaliser.

Undaunted Haslemere continued with their passing game , continuing to dominate possession and pitch . Particular mention To Ed Cohn for a very strong showing , and the artistry of Will Porter in the centre. Up front Louis was continuing to see lots of the ball and it was no surprise when Haslemere took a well-deserved lead . Fitness was beginning to show , and a further two goals late in the day and Haslemere ran out worthy winners.

So a great start to the season . Fun training on Fridays and a game each week and the squad and showing rapid improvements  Well done everyone.
