Start of 2020/21 Season – Arrangements

Time for a Pre-Season update

Club Day

As usual we are having an adult’s club day – this is taking place on the 5th September, for further details including the beverage implications please go here.

Training

Training starts next week – the locations are a mixture of Highfield School and The Edge, Woolmer Hill.
Currently TEAMO is not playing ball with our pitch booking programme so things are slightly slow – In the meantime we have a pitch calendar here – this identifies our bookings todate – and is continually being updated.

Men’s Training Schedule

Ladies Training Schedule

Ladies training is now either Tuesday or Wednesday and is either Highfield or The Edge – see here for details

Juniors Training Schedule

We needed some more space for the u12/14 girls teams so they have moved to Highfield. Boys teams are still at The Edge. Please make sure you are familiar with start and finish times/locations – see here for details

Arrival/check-in procedures

These are the same as we have been practicing at Highfield and they are:

Make sure you are registered on the England Website
Make sure TEAMO is up to date and operating on your phone
Arrive at the pitch and mark your attendance using the pitch side QR code
You are also able to preregister on TEAMO up to 3 hrs before arrival…this enables England Hockey and NHS track and trace to monitor.

Leagues

We have no news other than that there is a lot of discussion but initial thoughts are of a start date of early October.

Covid 19 Dilemmas

Masks – Due to Covid we need all players who are at the slightest risk of playing in short corner defence to acquire a personal mask – we are no longer allowed to share club masks.
Bibs – We are also not allowed to share bibs within a 72hr period (Unless washed). We suspect this is going to be unsustainable if this is the case we will request each player to purchase 2 of their own bibs. (We will negotiate a bulk order and will update you with costs. (Early research suggests about £5 for the pair)
