Having beaten Guildford, Alton and Chichester, the latter a 7-6 win coming back from 5-1 down with 25 minutes to play, Haslemere Masters (35 to 50 year olds) reached the Finals day of the Wessex Masters Division One Cup. The morning semi-finals was a close match agianst Salisbury with the scores level at 1-1 at the end of time, Haslemere won on penalty flicks 4-3.

Haslemere then faced the league champions Petersfield in the finals.  Petersfield has won every game this season in league and cup, and were going to be formidable opposition. In the end it was a step too far for the Mere, who lost 4-1. Special mention to the Haslemere Goal keeper, Adrian Cardy-Brown who pulled of saves that an athletic 20 year old keeper would have been very proud of.

The Masters final day was once again successfully hosetd by Haslemere Hockey Club, with the top 4 teams from both divisions comepeting for silverware. The division 2 winners were Newbury and Thatcham and the runners up were Andover.
