Congratulations to Luca Signorelli on selection for the U18 Wessex Leopards which represents players in South West England. Luca is one of 18 players who are in Cannock playing in the England Hockey Futures Cup Competition. This competition gives players first-hand experience of an international tournament environment and is preparation for potential future involvement in a National Age Group Squad.

Luca joined Haslemere HC over two seasons ago having switched from rugby to concentrate on his hockey. He has had a meteoric rise during his time as a club player selected for the U18s and Men’s XI last season, representing Surrey Junior Academy and now Wessex Leopards. A great achievement Luca!

Several Haslemere players challenged for places in the regional teams and deserve our warmest congratulations on achieving nomination for regional level assessment after their successful academy (county) or HiPAC performances last season. These include Elliott Hall, Sanjay Appan, Harry Tenwick, Chris Thomas, Sasha Burnet, and Ed Whitworth.

Our congratulations also go to Elliott, who missed out on a final place in the U18 Wessex Leopards by a whisker. With his determination and skill the EH coaches are sure to see his name crop up again during his university years.

Well done to all these players.
