The Ladies 1sts turned in a fantastic performance on Saturday to extend their lead at the top of the table by beating the second placed side 6-0. This was all the more pleasing as the team had a significantly younger profile this week with two fifteen year old players, Lizzie Henderson and Becca Naylor making their 1st team League debuts.

Their coach, Duncan Haddrell, has got the team playing attractive, attacking hockey that has helped make light of the loss of one of their key players, Heidi Wells, through injury for the rest of the season. Special mention must also be made of skipper Pauline McBrown whose hockey skills and pastoral approach to her role are clearly paying great dividends.

A couple more wins in the run up to Xmas and promotion has to be seriously on the cards.
