The club would like to highlight to the wider membership the achievements of some of the younger members and congratulate them on a year of achievement. Jeremy Andrews played for the South (West) U17 team at the National Regional tournament at Bellevue, Manchester at the end of October. The South (West) won the tournament with an unbeaten record as did the South (West) U15 team. Jeremy, Jake and Simon Connolly have played for Hampshire for the last two years at U15 and U16 level who have been unbeaten in that time becoming Regional champions. As such they represented Hampshire U15 at the National County Championship at Cannock last year once again being undefeated and becoming All England County Champions. In fact Haslemere HC contributed one quarter of the squad as Sam Henry was also a member at that time. Simon, Jeremy and Jake will now represent Hampshire at U17 level at Cannock next April when they will try to become All England Champions again. The boys would like to thank Mike South whose encouragement and dedication helped them to reach this level and to Pete Atkins (City of Portsmouth) the Hampshire Coach and Ian Pett (Basingstoke) the Hampshire Manager.
