Emerging from behind the post office counter twenty minutes into the Men's Masters' match versus Fareham last Saturday, Dhiren Patel still had enough time to rack up a five goal haul, inspire HHC to a 7-2 victory and put pressure on that perennial goal hanger at the top of the scoring list, Dr Mark Hurst.

For those old enough to remember, it evoked memories of DP's performances for the HHC first XI throughout the nineties, ghosting into the back of the circle from left midfield. For those even older, it recalled his exploits as part of the England indoor squad back in the eighties.

DP is due to run out for the Men's Development XI this week and rumour has it that the good Doctor has a tenner in the kitty to ensure the skipper plays him at right back!
