Haslemere has much to be proud of this season in gaining county and regional honours.

Elliott Hall & Luca Signorelli were selected for the U18 Wessex Leopards team, representing Southern England. Luca went on to play in the Futures Cup, a final selection stage for the U18 International squad. Progress to this stage is a considerable achievement by both players who are fine role models as well as star players in the Club.

Some of our younger players, indeed nineteen of them, were awarded places in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire & Dorset Academies. Nine of these places were awarded to players new to the academy circuit giving encouragement to next season's nominees.

Many congratulations to these junior academy players on their achievement:-

Ollie Duckworth (Surrey U13)
James Hockley (Hampshire U13)
Max Tenwick (Hampshire U13)
Edward Tristem (Surrey U13)
Ashley Davies (Surrey U13)

These players undergo an intensive assessment process often competing alongside eighty or more players to earn a well deserved place in junior county academies. We wish them every success in the challenges of the county tournaments.

Many other players were given the opportunity to attend the Junior Development Centres and benefit from the intense coaching programme provided by England Hockey coaches.

Securing so many academy places is testament to the dedication and skills of our coaching team and squad managers and the determination of the players. These results ensure Haslemere maintains its place competing with the stronger Southern clubs.
