Match report – 10/11th Nov 2019

Ladies 1’s vs Barnes 2’s

A much improved performance from the ladies 1s, especially away at Barnes with 12 players. Haslemere had much of the possession and several chances but struggled to convert. Barnes were clinical with their short corners.

Score: 4-2 Loss

Ladies 2’s vs Romsey 2’s

What a match: 3-0 win vs Romsey and great team cohesion. We looked strong from the first whistle and this time we maintained it…..we feel proud!

Score: 3-0 Win

Ladies 3’s vs IOW 2’s

A confident 3-0 win against the Isle of Wight team. MOM was Els for her cameo in goal. What a performance she delivered!

Score: 3-0 Win

Ladies 4’s vs Salisbury 5’s

A fantastic match in a very cold and wet Salisbury. The 4s dominated the opposition with some great transitions resulting in a 2-1 win.

Score: 2-1 Win

Good team spirit in the 5s today despite playing in the dark! Lost 4-1 but never gave up…

Score: 4-1 Loss

U12 – Girls Vs Aldershot & Farnham

The U12 girls were away at Northcamp, Aldershot and had an excellent game.

Hat tricks all round so they deserved a “bonding” session

Score: 13-0 win

U12 – Boys Vs Gosport

Under 12 boys had a great result today against a very strong Gosport side on pitch 2 Roared on by by an encouraging positive crowd Haslemere took the game to an older and stronger side with some great passing moves and outcomes in the D Defensively we were strong and it augurs well that such a young group of players can come to terms with the the size of a full pitch so quickly 2-1 was a fair result and lots of positives for everyone involved. Thanks to the coaching staff out in force

Score: 2-1 win

Mens 1’s vs Andover 1’s

Haslemere arrived late and dispensed with a rushed warmup on a bouncy pitch not a good omen. High presses set by both teams with HHC scoring first with Powell slotting one home – Andover came back more or less instantly and equalised, and this was the score at half time. The second half saw HHC start well but this all went awry when Andover managed to put 3 soft 3 goals home in 8 minutes – heads dropped and that was to be the final score – a lot of disappointment.

Score – 5-1

Mens 5’s vs Havant 6’s

Havant showed up hungry. 1st half saw a really competitive side where they took the play and managed to score a goal early. The remainder of the half was tough but we held them out. In the second half… Dan showed us how to power slide tackle a 14 year old. The umpired fiddled with his cards and we were sure he was a goner… lucky green.

We lifted our game and started to generate opportunities with great goal from Matt off the short. The game then took a turn and the oppo started to look very dangerous with balls bouncing of crossbars and a penalty flick saved by Adrian.

Haslemere woke up and the last 10 minutes saw loads of opportunities. The whistle was blown and we had the short corner.

Matt again drag flicked but was saved … Colin stepped into the space and swept the ball into the goal for a glorious victory!

Score: 2-1 Win
