| 12 Girls come third in Southern Counties Yazoo championship |
| Haslemere’s U12 girls gave a tremendous performance in the Southern Counties Yazoo tournament and just missed qualifying for the Yazoo national round. They showed composure and a steady team effort through the early rounds to contest a semi-final place against Teddington. Producing their best performance of the tournament they won this match to face Reading for a place in the Southern Counties finals. An unsteady start could not be recovered against an energetic Reading team and Haslemere ended the day beating Teddington again to gain third place, and a bronze medal title, in this Championship. The final Southern Counties results table finished as:- 1st - Surbiton 2nd – Reading 3rd – Haslemere 4th - Teddington Havant beat Guildford to win the Yazoo Southern Counties Plate competition. A full match report is available on the website, with photos shortly to follow. Many congratulations to an inspiring U12 girls team and their volunteer coaches and manager, not forgetting the loyal and enthusiastic supporters group. Next year, the finals..... |
