| Cancelled Sunday Training - 5 February |
| Due to the current conditions and the likelyhood of snow over night all training sessions for all squads have been cancelled. It was hoped that we could still run some indoor however, it maybe that it is not possible for The Edge to open so therefore all training has now been cancelled. Enjoy the extra lie in... | The weather forecast for this evening suggests that temperatures will reach freezing. Whilst we hope that we can at least train for some time it is likely that training will finish early for safety reasons. |

| Nick Chilton |
| Wednesday 18th January was Nick Chilton's funeral and Memorial Service in St Lukes Church Grayshott. Estimates of over 300 people came from far and wide, to wish Nick a fond farewell and listen to two excellent eulogies from Mike Ward (Hampshire Hockey) and Geoff Ledger. The huge congregation witnessed what was a respectful, dignified and ultimately a happy service. Following this was a reception at the Fox and Pelican, where many friends, players and dignitaries gathered for sandwiches and a drink. I think Nick would have been delighted with the day and would probably have stayed the full course til closing time, as did several hardened revellers. Nick would certainly have been delighted with the wide range of people, coming from all ages and walks of life - where he spread his charm, wisdom and humour. For those unable to come on the day, you can read the two eulogies on Facebook under 'Nick Chilton - Book of Remembrance'. They make for very good reading. So RIP Nick, and the Club and the local community, now needs to find a suitable and permanent memorial to his full and varied life. |
